Informed and Inclusive Care at Botanical Abundance

Botanical Abundance Naturopathy welcomes everybody.

The clinic is a non-judgemental, confidential space for people of all identities, bodies, relationship structures, and lived experiences. You are never required to explain or justify who you are, how you live, or what your relationships look like in order to receive thoughtful, evidence-based health care.

Why Inclusive Care Matters

Many people and communities who experience systemic marginalisation have experienced judgement, dismissal, or harm within medical settings, which can lead to delayed care, untreated symptoms, or a loss of trust in healthcare altogether.

When care is exclusive rather than inclusive, people may feel pressure to withhold information about their bodies, background, relationships, work, or identities. This can limit the effectiveness of treatment, particularly when supporting sexual, hormonal, or genito-urinary health.

Here at Botanical Abundance, we want you to feel seen, heard, and accepted for exactly who you are. Our inclusive care is designed to create a safe space, where you can share details about your life and receive the support that you need, without any judgement or afterthought.

Sex-Positive, Inclusive Genito-Urinary Health Care

Jessie is informed about a wide range of relationship dynamics, including monogamous, non-monogamous, open, polyamorous, and other non-traditional structures. During a consultation, there may be times where discussing sexual dynamics, partners, or contraceptive use is clinically relevant. These conversations are always approached with care, neutrality, and respect, with the aim to support your wellbeing.

Jessie understands that disclosing working in the sex industry can affect access to thorough, respectful healthcare. She frequently provides support for sex workers and prioritises offering an informed, non-judgemental and safe space approach in care.

If you are experiencing recurring symptoms such as bacterial vaginosis, thrush, irritation, or discomfort, and have found yourself repeatedly relying on short-term solutions like boric acid, please know there are options available that aim to support long-term recovery. Jessie’s priority is to help you maintain your health in a way that supports your work, rather than having your health interfere with it.

LGBTQIA+ Inclusive & Gender-Affirming Support

Botanical Abundance welcomes all individuals across the gender spectrum, including those who are undergoing or have undergone gender-affirming care. Jessie stands as an ally to the LGBTQIA+ community, both personally and professionally. As a sexual health specialist, understands the changes that occur in vaginal and vulval health (including tissue changes, microbiome, and sexual comfort) during hormone therapy or surgical interventions.

If you are seeking a practitioner who exclusively specialises in trans health, Jessie is also happy to refer to trusted colleagues, such as Sam Jeffries (Naturopath).

Supporting Neurodivergence

Botanical Abundance is a neuro-affirming space, where neurodivergence is recognised, respected, and valued as part of human diversity. Jessie’s first-hand experience as someone late-diagnosed with ADHD gives her a true understanding of the challenges neurodivergence can create in healthcare and daily life.

This experience informs her approach, ensuring support and treatment plans are tailored to how your brain works best. From structuring appointments to offering strategies that fit your routines, Jessie prioritises care that allows you to feel understood, capable, and supported throughout your healthcare journey.

A Respectful, Supportive Clinical Space

If you are looking for informed and inclusive healthcare, Jessie offers both telehealth appointments and in-person consultations at the Good Vibes Clinic in Surry Hills. The space is a sex-therapy focused clinic and reflects the values of safety, inclusion, and body autonomy that Botanical Abundance prioritises.

Jessie also acknowledges that experiences of health and healthcare are shaped by culture, race, and systemic inequities. Botanical Abundance is committed to ongoing learning, listening, and respectful care for all marginalised communities, including POC and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and recognises that culturally safe healthcare is essential for all.
